Please remember to always use proper etiquette when interacting with the umpires.
- Use a calm voice, don't yell or rush the umpire
- Always call time out prior to approaching the umpire
- When approaching the umpire, never have anything in your hands as it can be seen as threatening behavior
- Stand side by side to the umpire when discussing anything with them
- Telling the umpire they are wrong or telling them that you know the rules is inappropriate. Instead ask them what the rule is.
- Never bring out a rule book or show them the rules
- Strikes and balls are not negotiable
Taunting, berating, or belittling an umpire will not be tolerated. The umpires and board members have the right to remove anyone whom they feel is acting in an unruly manner.
